We are now excited to get on board a Trade Assistant Sofrana-ANL to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand to support the development and implementation of all pricing policies and strategies for all ANL services between Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands (including PNG) and analysis of competitive information in the trade This role reports to the Commercial Manager Sofrana-ANL.
The main responsibilities would include : Liaise with Commercial Manager Sofrana ANL Trades to develop strategies to ensure maximization of revenue and vessel utilization for each service.
Deputize for the Commercial / Trade Manager in all trade related matters as and when required.Liaise with Agents to implement the agreed Pricing PolicySupply of rates to Sales Teams within the region for all Sofrana ANL tradesQuoting directly to customers.
Pricing of Sofrana ANL services for Tenders, Global and RegionalMonitor price trends and competitors to ensure that Sofrana ANL policies remain competitive in the market & Monitoring competition activity / service charges, suggest counter measures that could be implemented by Sofrana / ANL / CMA CGM GroupEnsure adherence to all quality assurance standards, policies and procedures.
Attend to all IT related issues concerning pricing and marketing’ matters for Sofrana ANL trades.Preparation of Weekly FAB reports and commentary and assist with preparation of Monthly Super Flash and Forecast reporting.
Assisting with Customer quotes (sales) & securing feedback from sales teams within the network.The ideal candidate will possess the below skills and experience along with unlimited rights to work in New Zealand : A sound knowledge of the Pacific Islands trades and economies2-5 years’ experience in Shipping or related industriesGood understanding of pricing and the commercial impacts of the shipping or freight businessAn understanding of both macro’ and micro’ business fundamentals.
Highly developed computer and spreadsheet skills including a high level of numeracy.A high level of organisation, presentation, and communication skills with regular contact with the highest levels of management.
Ability to function as part of a team working in multi skilled environment.Logical and strategic thinker with a strong results orientationDeveloped analytical thinking abilityWell organised and a demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
