The Parliamentary Security Group has recently undergone a significant review and change management programme, and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader with both strategic and operational management experience to fill this newly created position.
The Security Manager - Operations plays an integral role within the Security Group, who are collectively responsible for providing 24 hours per day, 7 days per week security services to members of Parliament, staff, contractors, stakeholders, visitors, and customers who work within and visit New Zealand's Parliament.
This includes providing security services at the Electorate & Community Offices which are located throughout New Zealand.
Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, this role is responsible for providing mentorship, coaching and support to the lead positions within the Security Operations team.
Among other accountabilities, you will be responsible for embedding the new operating model and establishing our desired culture, security operational requirements, training standards and managing rostering, budgets and leave.
You'll work collaboratively with other members of the Security Leadership Group to constantly improve and refine the direction of your business group.
