Role :

At the heart of helping us achieve our vision is our UI Designer / Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the overall detailed experience of websites, online applications and mobile products while supporting the development of the user experience / user interface design.

The solutions must enable us to achieve key objectives and must also represent the user interests amongst objectives from different business groups.

As part of your role you will be responsible for the following :

  • Development and implementation of the technical solution to support the UX / UI design principles and standards;
  • Developing new types of deliverables, workshops, or presentations as necessary, as well as producing prototypes for team walkthroughs and user testing.
  • Maintaining graphic standards and branding throughout our product interfaces.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies with respect to UX development and implementation.
  • Supporting the UX / UI Design function in the following activities : Designing the user experience including information flow, interaction model and the user interface.
  • Creation of deliverables including conceptual diagrams, site maps, interaction flows, storyboards, page / screen schematics / wireframes, content inventories, help and instructional copy - all of which conform to the user experience guidelines.

    Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a front-end development role preferably for internet-based products.
  • A portfolio of work that showcases user interface development skills across a range of different projects.
  • Expertise in web technologies (e.g. HTML, use of CSS for page layouts, XHTML, RSS, JavaScript, AJAX), and ability to evaluate the applicability for business solutions.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SAS.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in front-end CSS frameworks, such as Bootstrap.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks (ideally Vue.JS)
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design, prototyping and wire-framing tools.
  • Proven ability to work independently, deliver and work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, influence and liaise confidently with stakeholders from all layers of an organisation.
  • Ability to solve problems proactively and to select the most appropriate method or technique. Experienced working at a strategic level (identify the most useful solution) and a detailed level (design the solution)
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal.
