    Our busy period is coming up, and we would love you to join our team, and lend a hand, for 6 months.

    Te āhuatunga a te tūranga About the role

    We have two (2) six-month fixed term, full time roles within our organisation to provide high level administrative support to work alongside the rates team, supporting the critical functions to provide efficient and effective rates administration and customer services for Toi Moana Bay of Plenty Regional Council.

    Reporting to the Rates Team Leader, you will provide excellent administrative and customer service to both our internal and external customers, helping to establish an efficient and customer-centric rates collection function.

    Supporting the rates team, you will :

  • Assist the Rates Team with processing and responding to customer requests
  • Maintain ratepayer data in the Rating Information Database
  • Assist our ratepayers to set up payment plan arrangements
  • Assist with daily bank receipting
  • Complete administration tasks as required.

    We are seeking experienced administrators who can juggle many competing priorities at once and take it all in their stride.

    Time management and having an organised approach to work will be second nature to you. You will be a clear communicator, have great attention to detail and be a quick learner. You will also have :

    NCEA level 3 or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • IT savvy and able to work with databases
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload
  • A high level of communication skills (both written and oral)
  • A can-do attitude and ability to problem solve.
