European Foods Ltd is a global importer and producer of some of Italy and Europes best food products and brands Their products have been tried and tested in the best restaurants and retail stores in New Zealand With an excellent team on board they are well positioned to meet current market demand and lead the way with the introduction of new food trends and technologies It is exciting times as they are growing rapidly and need additional support Currently they are on the look out for an experienced Accounts Payable Customer Services person for a permanent role Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable Process credit notes upon receipt of authorisation from customer service manager Fixed Asset register maintenance entries passed and reconciled in SAP Reconciliations bank credit cards etc Receipts payment allocations and bank reconciliation Resolve customer account queries and communicate effectively with customers Ensure all accounts receivable filing is done daily and archived monthly Ensure customers pay on time weekly and monthly Bank deposits of cheques cash and credit cards Collect mail and distribute regularly Process and send weekly invoice batches to specific major customers Obtain pods for all deliveries and file Send out accurate weekly and monthly statements Monitor cash sales and follow up on payments Provide weekly collection reports with expected payment dates for cash flow planning Process credit card payments for cash sales and invoice payments when required Keep customer records updated Regular communication to sales team on problematic customer accounts Ensure top customer requirements are met for billing documentation and data updates Ensure on time month end close off procedure Reconcile top customer accounts monthly and send additional excel statements NCI Reporting on outstanding debtors There are also additional accounts responsibilities that are completed on a daily weekly and monthly basis Back up Customer Services Communicating courteously with customers by telephone email letter and face to face Processing orders emailed by customers and or sales team Tracking orders and returns Managing all enquiries related to deliveries order issues product issues service issues special pricing price lists not processed Pay special attention to retail trade terms to ensure credits are authorised before being passed and are in accordance with our terms with each customer Keeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers Investigating and solving customers problems which may be complex or longstanding problems that have been passed on by team members Handling customer complaints or any major incidents such as a quality and delivery issues Processing Credits for customers Producing written information for customers often involving use of computer packages software Person Specification Excellent command of the English language both verbally and written Degree in Accounting preferable Strong organisational skills and ability to make informed decisions Strong attention to detail accuracy and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve customer queries effectively Ability to handle pressure well Minimum of two years New Zealand accounts experience Must have New Zealand residency This is an exciting role where no two days are the same
