He angitūtanga : The opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Sales and Brand, Conventions, the Business Development Executive is primarily responsible for responding to incoming enquiries and managing relationships with existing clients.

The Business Development Executive is also responsible for liaising and building strong and effective relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure resources are used efficiently to meet the specific needs and expectations of the client.

Your background in sales and ability to work collaboratively will ensure critical aspects of the sales process such as delivering quotes and sales proposals are also delivered in a timely manner to ensure continued, ongoing success.

He kōrero mōu : About you

Leveraging your flair for sales, combined with your abilities in planning, execution and organisation, you are able to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

You will be highly motivated and will want to use your exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills to ensure enquiries are handled promptly and efficiently.

A proven background in sales within the MICE and Hospitality or Tourism industry is essential. As a skilled and approachable Business Development Executive, you will maintain positive and collaborative working relationships both externally and internally, ensuring effective communication is provided to all stakeholders.

This is a truly dynamic role where you will be the face of the organisation, providing equal amounts of excellent customer service combined with a robust sales process to ensure clients receive a fantastic experience from the moment they send through an enquiry all the way to the follow up, within 7 days post-event.

Additionally, you will participate in relevant projects with other sections on a project basis to deliver high quality innovative activities and projects as appropriate.
