We are further strengthening our New Zealand infrastructure team with the appointment of an experienced Risk Manager with Commercial Management experience to support the team and our clients in our busy and fast-paced Auckland office.

You will primarily focus on management and coordination of the risk management function ensuring that all elements of risk are identified, analysed, reported and solutions / mitigations developed and implemented.

Along with providing risk management function, the role will involve working with the wider team in delivering commercial management services including estimating and cost management.

A strong understanding of the infrastructure projects from inception to completion is desirable.Job DescriptionThe Risk Managers primary focus is on the management and coordination of the risk management function, ensuring that all elements of risk to the project are identified, analysed, reported and solutions / mitigations developed and implemented.

The Risk Manager will be responsible for : Management and coordination of risk management to ensure effective project delivery to and to the highest industry standards, on time and within allocated budgets.

Undertaking both qualitative and quantitative risk assessment to support informed and evidence based decision-making.Building and promoting a risk-aware culture across commissions which includes increase levels of awareness, understanding and commitment to risk management issues, facilitating risk workshops as required.

Ensuring risk reviews and reports are completed to facilitate an accurate understanding of actual and potential risk exposures across projects and assisting in providing solutions and mitigations, including any required controls and actions.

Completing risk reporting associated with monitoring project contingency and potential scope modifications made.Updating the risk register to facilitate the management of project risk profiles.

Providing subject matter expert advice to the client teams in relation to risk management.Coordinating and reviewing project status reporting and assisting with arrangements for key governance meetings.

Supporting the infrastructure teams wider functions as required.Knowledge of NZTA and AT risk process along with international best practiceQualificationsDue to the current COVID restrictions we are only able to consider applicates within New Zealand, who hold existing working rights or entitlement to such rights.

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.8+ experience working in complex, large scale multidisciplinary projects in transport and / or infrastructure related organisations.

Experience in using risk databases and risk management systems including systems / software to support quantitative risk analysis e.

g. CURA, RISK, ARMHigh level of attention to detail.Able to anticipate and follow-through fully on tasks.Strong communication and facilitation skills.
