    MSD's Property and Facilities group provides safe, fit for purpose environments for our people. The Property Operations team is responsible for the Property Management of a nationwide portfolio of leased and owned commercial and residential properties.

    Property Management functions include lease management, portfolio planning, asset and facilities management, and workplace design.

    About the role

    The Graduate Property Manager is a development role where you will manage an allocated portfolio of properties and tasks under the guidance and direction of the Manager Property Operations and Senior Property Managers.

    You will have facilities management and property management responsibilities that require you to partner with our facilities management team, suppliers and other key stakeholders to ensure sites and assets perform and support our customer's services.

  • Your key responsibilities include;
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with senior regional managers, site managers and staff, landlords, contractors and various other stakeholders.
  • Day-to-day repairs and maintenance of property assets.
  • Lease negotiations such as lease renewals and rent reviews.
  • Compliance with all property related legislation and regulations.
  • Project management of small to medium scale capital projects such as site relocations, refurbishments and reconfigurations.
  • Prepare business cases for senior management approval
  • About you

    A natural people person with the ability to form effective win-win relationships, you will build strong rapport with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

    You are a real team player who works hard and is keen to learn, but you are also someone with a sense of humour who likes to have a bit of fun.

    To be successful in this role you will have :

  • A knowledge of property management principles and processes.
  • Awareness of, or familiarity with government policies regarding office accommodation
  • Computer proficiency and a practical working knowledge of spread sheet packages including Excel.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Great relationship management skills and client focus.
  • The ability to work well in teams
  • Sound judgement and the ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Tertiary property qualification or the equivalent in work experience your qualification is either completed or you are working towards completion.
