Casual Newborn Hearing Screener North Shore Hospital Are you dedicated, motivated, and keen to help provide an essential screening service for newborns in our community?
We are looking for an experienced Newborn Hearing Screener to join our Maternity Unit. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide hearing screening services for newborn babies in our Maternity Unit at North Shore Hospital.
You will use and ensure the up-keep of the screening equipment, and maintain accurate computer and written records. To be considered for this position you should possess a good technical aptitude and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
In addition, you will have a full, clean driver's licence. Previous experience working with newborns and their whanau / families is preferred.
Full training (3-4 weeks) which includes the use of equipment and administrative procedures will be provided. You will be expected to pass an examination upon completion of training as part of the condition of your employment.
