About the Team :
You will be working in the Client Services team supporting a financial software product with a global customer base. The FIS Asset Finance product is a corporate leasing solution based in Microsoft .
Net Technology and is used by significant global clients.
As a Software Engineer in the FIS Asset Finance Client Services team you’ll be providing hands-on technical support and development for international clients in a dynamic and challenging industry.
You will utilise Microsoft development technology to solve complex application and business-related problems. Our environment is flexible and collaborative allowing for a hybrid work model that allows you to work from home or the office or a mixture of the two
What you will be doing :
This is a fantastic role offering loads of variety no two days will be the same! In this client focused role you will be resolving issues for your clients as they arise. You will also :
Use your existing track record of hands-on development
Lead by example and write robust code that adheres to defined standards and raises the bar with respect to quality. Challenge your colleagues to do the same.
Utilising software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management and build processes.
Work as part of multi-disciplined team across 4 development centres Christchurch, Bangalore, Belgrade and Bangkok in providing solutions to client issues.
What you bring :
C# / .Net development experience in a software development role within a commercial software environment.
Someone who enjoys tackling challenges, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in translating technical concepts into client-friendly explanations.
Comfortable following defined processes to support delivery and communication with key stakeholders.
Results-oriented, flexible, and able to contribute and succeed within a friendly and collaborative environment.
Comfortable working within an existing code base and utilising existing collaborative tools.
An understanding of the client’s needs, and helping the wider team provide a thorough and successful result.
Ability to perform well under pressure and maintain a calm manner while working to meet tight deadlines.
You are tenacious; rarely giving up until you have reached a logical and useful solution.
You will have experience in many of these areas :
Identifying and solving issues in unfamiliar code.
SQL and Oracle relational database experience.
Knowledge of web technologies, frameworks (ASP.Net, TypeScript, Knockout, SPA, MVVM) and APIs and how to trouble shoot them.
Familiarity with Windows and IIS configuration to assist clients and co-workers with their system setup.
Experience in optimizing C# code and SQL to solve performance issues.
Deep interest in getting a wider view - understanding complex n-tier systems, being able to pinpoint and solve issues on any tier of the system.
