You will be working in our Strategy and Evaluation team where you will be involved in thinking about the long term sustainability of the sector, a sector wide approach to life-long learning and structural changes to the system.

We are looking for a Team Leader to join our team. The purpose of this role is to support the Manager Strategy and Evaluation to ensure the smooth operation and coordination of the five advisors in the team and to manage the evaluation and research programme.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing leadership, capability development and coaching to the Advisors in the team.
  • Creating a positive, delivery-oriented team culture focused on providing proactive thought leadership and delivering value to TEC and the sector.
  • Establishing and managing TEC's evaluation and research programme, ensuring the business has the evaluation and evidence base to inform strategy development and business decision making.
  • Succeeding in this role will require an extraordinary team leader who is genuinely comfortable managing ambiguity and is open to different ways of working,
  • What will you bring to the role?

  • Experience leading and managing diverse teams, including coaching and mentoring individuals at differing levels
  • Experience in workflow planning and management, including coordinating and integrating multiple work-streams
  • Experience in government social sector evaluations
  • Expertise in fostering highly collaborative environments and managing diverging opinions in a calm empathetic manner
