This new hotel located in the vibrant Aotea Arts Quarter features 255 rooms, flexible meeting spaces as well as unique food and beverage concepts, including a Roof Top Bar & Terrace.

As Sales Co-ordinator of Four Points by Sheraton Auckland you will be responsible for assisting the sales team, re-actively managing corporate, group, catering and MICE related business opportunities for this new hotel.

You will be passionate and motivated to deliver our brand values by providing an honest and authentic experience for our customers and guests.

CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent, minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIESUnderstanding Market Opportunities & Driving RevenueAssist the sales team in the management of corporate, group / catering and MICE accounts.

Assist in a pro-active manner the active solicitation of MICE related business in line with the budgetary goals of the hotel.

Partners with corporate / group / catering counterparts to effectively manage all stages of business opportunity.Responds to incoming group / catering opportunities for the property.

Manages contracting of all market segments.Ensure Group business is handled in a positive way within the hotel, liaise with required departments to ensure a seamless transition from sales to operations.

Assisting the sales team in all facets of the business to ensure sales targets are reached.Maximizes revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage.

Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to maximize on property business. Providing Exceptional Customer ServiceHandles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations.

Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include writing of business proposals, business contracting, site inspections, trade shows, etc.

Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for corporate, group, catering and MICE sales opportunities.

Supports brand’s Service and Relationship Strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

Provides excellent customer service in order to grow sales’ share of the account.Executes and supports the brand’s Customer Service Standards and property’s Brand Standards.

Participates in and practices daily service basics of the brand.Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program / event.

Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to the property and brand.

Gains understanding of the property’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the program / eventBuilding Successful RelationshipsWorks collaboratively with on and off-

property sales channels (e.g., Events, On and off property sales, Revenue Management and Reservations) to ensure sales efforts are focused, coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
