  • Sole charge on site working within a supportive team environmentNgā mōhiohio epā ana ki tēnei mahi(About this position)The Motueka Maternity unit is a primary birthing and postnatal care unitwith around 40-50 births a year and around 140 postnatal transfers from Nelson.
  • The unit provides highly regarded postnatal care working in partnership with whānauand LMC s to provide whānau centred care.

  • We have an opening for a casual Midwife who has theflexibility to work on an as requiredbasis. Forward planning and rostering will be available when covering rostergaps and planned leave;
  • however, it will be important that you can sometimeswork at short notice. Ko wai he kaitonotōtika? (Who is an appropriateapplicant?

    You will be a high performing midwife withtotal commitment to women centred and culturally respectful care. You will haveexcellent time management and organisational skills.

    You will have the skills and experience tostaff the unit on your own as well as the ability to work as part of a team andcontribute to the broader organisational health care objectives.
