Access Partnership seeks a Asia-Pacific Analyst with a strong interest in international government relations and technology policy to advance our clients’ interests on the global stage.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering intelligence, analysis and advocacy for firms with a global presence in the ICT industry.
This is a client-facing role that will require email, teleconferencing, and other reporting for our client’s government affairs.
Analysts will be responsible for researching, and reporting on potential stimulus legislation, analyzing legislation, and identifying IT trends in government, schools, hospitals, and other public institutions.
North Asia : JapanPacific : Australia and New ZealandDutiesResearch and analyse national and regional regulations, political trends and processes, and industry developments across all ICT policy areas.
Analyse and interpret the business implications of specific government regulations, policies, and laws at the national and provincial levels.
Develop public policy positions and advocacy strategies and develop content for clients.Draft memos, presentations, matrices, and marketing materials on short timelines.
Represent clients before national governments, industry groups, and in multilateral forums.Draft actionable reports both in native language and business English.
Research stakeholders and suggest government action.Manage and assist with the day-to-day continuity of core country team operations.
Provide other support as requested by company leaders.Contribute to business development through research on new clients and industry trends.
Desired skills and experienceEssentialBusiness level English, native level language with excellent written and oral communications skills in both languages.
Located in-region with the ability to support client requests during business hours.Degree in international relations, public policy, international trade, law, or related field.
Knowledge of central government legislative processes.Effectiveness in managing across and within teams.A passion for problem-solving, an ability to grasp new and technical concepts quickly, and a resourceful attitude toward finding ways to get things done and meet professional goals.
Expertise in managing cross-cultural dynamics and communications.Ability to work under pressure and on short notice.Demonstrable experience of project management with profitability, timescale, and quality achievements.
Previous experience in Consulting, Technology Policy or Government Service.Self-motivated and experience working independently.
