Job DescriptionReporting to the Shipping Manager, you will be a pivotal link between suppliers and our sourcing offices. Working closely with our sourcing offices in China, India, and Bangladesh, you will lead logistics continuous improvement activity and support sourcing strategies requiring logistics input.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to : Monitoring and driving vendor performance for document complianceProcessing of Airfreight DocumentsObtaining necessary certificates or permits as required for clearance.
Liaising with Customs agent and Trucking company to resolve holdsResolving DC enquiresProcessing shipping line statements in a timely manner and to ensure accuracy.
Calculating inspection invoices for customs procedures and arrange payment.Monitoring and prioritising key event orders to ensure arrival on time for required on show datesDistributing delay reports to merchandise and container planningProcess all insurance claims in accordance with correct claim procedures.
Effective communication and strong stakeholder management skills are vital to the success of this role. You must be able to remove roadblocks through positive relationships and embed clear linkages between Logistics and Sourcing offices.
QualificationsIdeally, you will have a minimum 3+ years of Logistics / fulfillment experience as well as 3+ years from within the Retail / Consumer industry.
Experience in a similar strategic sourcing role is essential.Intermediate level Excel skills.Proven problem-solving skills.
