We are looking for an experienced evaluator with a nous for research to join our Strategy and Evaluation team where you will be involved in thinking about the long term sustainability of the sector, taking a sector-wide approach to life-long learning and structural changes to the system.
By exploring the difference our investment and programmes make and creating an evidence base you will support strategy development and will have a significant role in making sure our learnings inform what we do in the future.
What will you be doing?
Engaging your passion for evaluation to ensure TEC's initiatives and decisions are underpinned by evidence.
Working with stakeholders to plan and executes all phases of research and evaluation projects, including design, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and reporting.
Applying evaluation approaches to programmes and initiatives to support organisational learning and improvement.
Participating in inter-departmental teams to complete multidisciplinary evaluation and research projects that provide insights and solutions for internal and external clients.
Presenting findings insights across a range of mediums to engage a range audiences.
What will you bring to the role?
Experience as an evaluator including providing evidence and analysis for a range of audiences
You will have a sound understanding of evaluation methodologies, best practice, and what is required for evaluation that makes a difference.
Experience applying a range of evaluation and research tools, and an ability to match research tools to match different contexts
An understanding of and experience in applying evaluation with different groups (i.e. Youth, Maori and Pasifika)
Strong relationship and influencing skills and ability to work collaboratively with different groups across EC and the Broader sector
A flair for write clear and compelling papers for a range of audiences
