About the role
As a Regional Manager in the Labour Inspectorate, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly motivated inspectors who are committed to the goal of fair workplaces.
The ability to support the team in their work and help them to be increasingly effective with it will be a critical part of the role.
The role also requires you to demonstrate your strong leadership abilities with internal and external stakeholders such as business groups, unions, local authorities, and other key regulatory agencies.
To reach our goal of fair workplaces, a key aspect of this role will be to build business and community support for the importance of employment standards.

The Labour Inspectorate operates within the Employment Services Branch and monitors and enforces New Zealand's minimum employment standards.
We work closely with agencies such as Immigration New Zealand, Inland Revenue and WorkSafe New Zealand to ensure employers meet their obligations.
