About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Credit Controller to join the team based in the National Office in Penrose .

Reporting to the Credit Team Leader, you will be providing full end-to-end credit support to PlaceMakers South-East Hub, dealing with varied and sometimes complicated scenarios with customers.

Responsibilities include dealing with account queries, account opening, credit checks, payment arrangements and reconciliation, and monthly reporting.

The Senior Credit Controller position role will suit a clear communicator with a genuine desire to develop relationships across branches and our varied customer base to provide a full credit management service that delivers results.

You will be capable of handling a debtor / collection calls employing your ability to come to decisions that work best for our branches and their customers.

Agility is essential as no two calls will be the same.As the role will also assume responsibility for withheld payments and resolving disputes, you will need to have the maturity to negotiate and make sound decisions.

Your ability to provide solutions for customers must be balanced with confidence, resilience, understanding and a commitment to ensure key financial metrics are met.

About you : You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, your organised, deadline-driven and focused on the detail to ensure data accuracy.

Other important attributes will be your positive attitude and genuine desire to make the role your own. Ideally, you will have around 2-3 years’ credit control experience in the commercial sector.

This is a hybrid role working Monday to Friday, with 3 days in the office and two days working from home.
