Auckland City, AucklandContract, PermanentWe are seeking a Business Analyst / Product Owner (BA / PO) to be responsible for leading the translation of 9 Spokes’ product roadmap into realisable benefits for users and the 9 Spokes business, whilst playing a central role in developing the organisation’s capability to maximise delivery cadence and quality.

The BA / PO will achieve this through being highly effective in eliciting, translating and documenting the business, functional and non-

  • functional requirements for new products, features, enhancements and bug fixes; crafting these into clear and concise user stories, use case definitions and specifications for the development teams;
  • effectively managing the product backlog for maximised value, and; ensuring developed software meets clearly defined acceptance criteria.

    Key Accountabilities Business Analysis / Product OwnershipWorking with the Product Managers and other stakeholders (internal and external), drive the articulation of product and feature requirements and assure the delivery of solutions that satisfy these requirementsManage, refine and prioritise the product backlog, in consultation with the Product Managers, to ensure delivery of strategic product vision and maximise value for users and the businessConduct requirements development and management using most applicable business analysis techniquesTranslate business and user needs into clearly articulated functional and non-

    functional requirements and specifications which are complete, whilst also capturing the purpose and desired value outcomes to provide context for developersDecompose feature requirements into complete and effective user stories that form the basis for refinement with the technical teams and that provide an unambiguous and testable definition of ready’Be an excellent communicator be able to keep technical and non-

    technical teams on point, extracting SME knowledge and articulating this to key stakeholdersRepresent the customer within the technical and development teams and help to build a shared understanding of the user persona and their needsHelp the technical / engineering and development develop a clear understanding of the context, value and priority of the development to be doneBalance technology and business issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technology and business expertsGood working knowledge of MS Collaboration toolsets, Azure DevOps, Teams, SharepointAct as liaison and participate in defining technology solutions to solve complex, multidisciplinary business problems with long-
