The Strategic Partnership team within the COVID-19 Health System Response Directorate is responsible for developing and enhancing high-trust strategic partnerships, working closely with our partners including all of government, the wider health sector, business sector and community and consumer stakeholders.
The role requires dynamic leadership of a team of experienced relationship managers to develop high-trust strategic partnerships, ensuring there are clear channels of communication between the Directorate and its key stakeholders.
The goal is to achieve sustainable and equitable health and wellbeing outcomes for the population and requires a strategic and operational focus to ensure the appropriate engagement with all partners is maintained.
This role is part of the COVID-19 Strategic Operations Group which collectively is responsible for shaping and driving the delivery of the Covid-19 Strategy for the directorate and the Ministry.

Any experience that you have from within the public health sector, along with knowledge of the machinery of Government, would be advantageous to your application.
The Ministry of Health is the kaitiaki of the health and disability system in New Zealand. We are the lead Public Health agency on the national COVID-19 response and have established the COVID-19 Health System Response Directorate to provide oversight of all activities contributing to the Ministry's COVID-19 response.
Led by the Deputy Chief Executive, the functions work in close collaboration with each other, across the Ministry, health sector, and the wider All of Government response.
