The Motueka Maternity unit is a primary birthing and postnatal care unitwith around 40-50 births a year and around 140 postnatal transfers from Nelson.
The unit delivers a highly regarded postnatal care model working in partnershipwith LMC’s and whānau to provide whānau centred care.
however, it will beimportant that you can sometimes work at short notice. Midwives with current roles inthe region are welcome to apply.

You will be a high performing midwife withtotal commitment to women centred and culturally respectful care. You will haveexcellent time management and organisational skills.
You will have the skills and experience tostaff the unit on your own as well as the ability to work as part of a team andcontribute to the broader organisational health care objectives.
For the health and safety of both staff andpatients, and in line with the Health Order, all NMH staff are required to befully vaccinated for COVID-19.
