Partners in Care, the Health Quality and Safety Commission's consumer and whānau engagement programme, is continuing to expand.
There are two opportunities to further develop the programme and be part of exciting new work to focus on what matters for people and whānau as we work to improve the quality of our health and disability system.
We are undertaking a joint work programme with the Health Transition Unit at the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet to develop the foundations of the new consumer and whānau voice framework - a key aspect of successful implementation of the reforms.
A key focus of these roles will be working as part of the Partners in Care team to achieve successful implementation of these foundational components.
While Wellington-based is preferred, applications from across Aotearoa will be considered.
We are seeking :
All positions in the Partners in Care team must build and maintain strong relationships with consumers and whānau and work together with them to shape both the programme, and the Commission's direction more broadly.
The Commission is a stand-alone Crown entity with a Board responsible to the Minister of Health. The Commission is responsible for assisting providers across the whole health and disability sector, both private and public, to improve service safety and quality and therefore outcomes for all those who use these services in New Zealand.
The Commission has a strong focus on Māori health advancement and reducing inequity, and the successful candidate will contribute to these goals.
The Commission celebrates inclusion and diversity in all areas of culture.
