We work across a range of specialist areas including stroke, oncology, haematology, neurosurgery, head & neck cancer and cardiovascular intensive care.
We work in a range of extended scope of practice areas including FEES, VFSS, and tracheostomy management.There are plentiful opportunities to work collaboratively with partners across the region to develop high quality, innovative Speech Language Therapy services.
About youTo be successful in this position, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes : -Bachelor’s qualification in Speech Language Therapy or equivalentRegistered member of the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists’ Association (NZSTA) with current APCExcellent communicator, with a can-do attitude and an innovative approach to problem solvingMinimum of 4 years post qualification experience, with at least 2 years working within an acute healthcare settingAdvanced skills in FEES, VFSS and tracheostomy management are desirable.
