Auckland City, Auckland#CLOSER #BRAVER #FASTERThe RoleThe purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to lead and support the establishment and management of a system of work that ensures Technology Risk is proactively and effectively managed as the IAG technical landscape is transformed and modernised - to create a technical foundation for a future, customer and eco-system enabled business operating model.

You will enjoy working in ambiguous and fast paced environments applying your skills with a diverse range of stakeholders across the IAG Group.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your capabilities and skills so that they can be utilised more broadly within Group Technology and IAG.
Key Responsibilities : Lead, mentor and coach a team of Risk Specialists to deliver outstanding 1st line risk support across Group Technology.
Contribute to the design and execution of Group Technology risk strategy.Role model and promote a pro-active risk management culture in technology.
Work collaboratively with the Group Technology team to ensure adherence to Group Risk & Compliance policy and frameworks.
Consult with the wider Group Technology business and lead activity in creating and maintaining risk and control profiles.
Ensure that Group Technology is operating within Group Risk appetite tolerances.Use internal and external data sources to provide insight and a forward-looking view of risk for Group Technology.
Consult into projects, initiatives and remediation activity acting as a risk SME providing advice and guidance as required.
Enhance Group Technology risk reporting and Board / Audit Committee updates in line with overall Commercial and Performance Management performance reporting.
Contribute to Internal and External Audit engagements within Group Technology.Skills & ExperienceMinimum of 5+ years' experience in operational risk management or assurance function within an Insurance or Financial Services Industry.
Demonstrated competencies with Operational Risk activities within the Three Lines of Defence model.Experience working with common technology industry standards such as NIST or COBIT.
Good interpersonal skills.People leadership experience with the ability to coach and mentor high performing teamsHigh level of personal drive and enthusiasm.
Results orientated and committed to achieving challenging objectives and delivering excellence.Good relationship building and influencing skills.
Continuous improvement mindset.Tertiary qualification / s in Technology, Commerce, Audit or related fields. Industry or specialistqualifications within technology and / or risk management fields.
