The Role :
As a Software Asset Management (SAM) Consultant at Datacom, you’ll provide SAM expertise to deliver consulting services to our existing managed services customers and prospects nationally.
You will champion the optimisations of the SAM Service, and work collaboratively with the dedicated SAM Account managers who deliver the Business As Usual (BAU) service and processes to our customers.
The SAM Consultant will provide the governance and continued SAM expertise in the maintenance of the service. In this role you’re the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAM and Licensing terms and conditions for enterprise software vendors including Microsoft, IBM & Oracle.
This a varied role that will combine loads to different skills. Some of the key responsibilities for this role includes, ensuring all effective and smooth delivery of customer’s SAM service, you will be part of a larger SAM team supporting the software compliance, SAM optimisation and business development processes.
The Person :
As an expert in your field you will bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a SAM role along with a SAM accreditation.
You will have advanced Licensing knowledge for large enterprise software vendors, be experienced in system platforms (Microsoft), client and server environment and be familiar with toolsets, particularly Flexera and SNOW Software.
You’ll have knowledge of SAM practices, standards and the lifecycle process. We are keen to hear about your previous successful relationships you have built and your SAM experience.
Your SAM expertise will be utilised as will your ability to write and produce great documentation and information.
