To become a successful Adventure Dog Handler you need to be keenly observant of canine behaviour, have a large dose of self motivation, some old fashioned kiwi ingenuity, plus a love for the outdoors, an irreverent sense of humour and a strong moral compass.
People with farm, hunting and horse riding experience, an interest in outdoor pursuits and a pragmatic love of animals do well in this role.
This role is available for all Auckland Suburbs.If you're passionate about dogs , and the thought of climbing a mountain with a group of them in pouring rain gets you grinning ear to ear.
Or being alone on an isolated west coast beach with your pack of attentive hounds makes you want to send an email even though it's midnight, then this probably IS the job for you!On the other hand, if a perfectly groomed car and not returning home covered in mud is more your thing, this probably won't be the best fit.
We’re an AWESOME team and you have to be great to get in, but once you do, we want you to be great at your job , so you will receive one on one training and back up support to ensure you become the best Adventure Dog Handler possible!You MUST own a suitable vehicle, a station wagon or larger 'tradie' vehicles are ideal, which you don't mind getting dirty.
This role is for around 12 to 18 Hours per week available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.HOURLY RATE : $19.00 - $26.
