Principal Data Analyst Our client currently has no database of a nonregulated workforce due to a lack of a central regulator employer or professional organisation responsible for collecting workforce data Our client needs to be able to report on the size educational levels age ethnicity and locations of this group Currently this lack of data prevents workforce modelling which would allow understanding of the current supply of the workforce now against demand into the future The basic foundation of this service planning is to understand the supply of the workforce The lack of workforce data hinders policy development Gathering quality data will enable our client to plan investment and initiatives to create sustainable nonregulated workforces Our client is looking for a contractor to come in and help with Q1 and Q2 20 21 Please see further details below Proposed initiative The scoping phase of this initiative will occur during Q1 and Q2 of 20 21 and will achieve the following Define the categories that data will be collected on Undertake policy work to establish the necessary levers to collect the data As the nonregulated workforce is not required to provide the organisation with data this phase will investigate levers such as the insertion of clauses in funding contracts that require service providers to share their workforce data Consider potential methods of collecting and storing the data including database solutions new or existing Consider potential compliance issues for service providers and their employees and how these may be addressed Determine what data is required to be collected Undertake feasibility assessments and evaluate data privacy and security requirements Undertake sector consultation The design phase of this initiative will occur during Q3 and Q4 of 20 21 and will achieve the following Determine the database technology solution and confirm the development costs Design the data collection methods including data feeds from organisations frequency and processes The delivery phase of this initiative will commence during 21 22 and will achieve the following Build the database solution and data feeds Implement the policy levers to enable data collection Work with service providers to provide data within the agreed timeframe ongoing Undertake data validation and maintenance of the database solution ongoing Expected outcomes A more skilled workforce working at the tops of their scopes of practice will enable greater productivity and efficiencies This will improve equitable outcomes especially for M ori and Pacific people Understanding the current size of the nonregulated workforce will allow the organisation to model the future workforce requirements and the development of programmes to sustain or grow nonregulated workforces against changing models of demand This will mitigate risks to the delivery of services within the sector Policy decisions will be informed by reliable data that will improve costing of funding decisions and the measurement of outcomes Understanding the size of the workforce to deliver new services will allow decisions to be made that do not put undue pressure on an already stretched sector and will inform the training pipeline for new professionals As New Zealands only specialist public sector recruitment firm The Johnson Group represents a wide range of clients from social to regulatory to economic sectors We are always keen to meet candidates talk about their career aspirations share market insights and see how we can assist in their next career move We are keen to broaden our talent pool so we can be ready to assist our public sector clients Please email your CV in Word Format to info thejohnsongroup co nz and reference Job LM5444 Email Please click the Apply Now button below
