  • We're looking for an experienced administrator to join our friendly and supportive team. The Administrator, Office of the Deputy Director-General supports the office in its delivery of high quality work programmes.

    This is a varied and busy role that will include :

  • providing administrative support to the team, including managing the team inbox
  • coordinating the directorate's workflow requests
  • setting up meetings and booking rooms
  • working with the other directorate support team members
  • contributing to the improvement and development of administrative process, procedures and systems within the Group and Directorate
  • building collaborative and positive working relationships with staff across the wider Ministry and key stakeholders.

    Te whainga poto o tēnei tūranga What is the purpose of this position?

    This is a new position for the office. In this role the administrator supports the running of the office, including managing information requests, the office inbox, and coordinating the Directorate's workflow.

    The administrator will work closely with the Manager of the office and the Senior Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director-General.

    The skills you'll bring to the role include :

  • proven administrative skills, including working across complex programmes of work
  • excellent communication skills
  • understanding of the machinery of government
  • the ability to establish, build and maintain respectful, and effective working relationships.
