About the role
We have an outstanding opportunity for a senior leader to become the new Managing Director - Mindshare NZ. The role will be responsible for driving the execution of the strategic, financial and talent plans for the agency, as we embark in a new era for the Mindshare brand in NZ.
The ideal candidate will come from a media background having a clear understanding and knowledge of the agency ecosystem.
You will be a proven leader, who is able to motivate and inspire whilst creating a positive and rewarding culture. You will bring exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of managing and engaging with multiple stakeholders, in a matrix environment.
Purpose of position
The Managing Director will be fully responsible and accountable for the Mindshare business in New Zealand and be the external face of the Mindshare brand.
The Managing Director will drive the execution of the strategic, financial, operational and talent plans, through active, strong, inspiring local market leadership and a very collaborative relationship with GroupM cardholders.
They will work closely with GroupM to effectively contribute to the growth expectation for the New Zealand entity and to enhance MindShare's reputation and performance.
Client relationships are the lifeblood for Mindshare. The client relationship lives and dies by the quality of our people and overall delivery of the work and is critical to MindShare's market perception, business reputation and financial results.
The role will ultimately be responsible for all client relationships.
Scope of the role
The Managing Director will report directly to the GroupM NZ CEO. They will work to build the Mindshare business in New Zealand while contributing to GroupM's financial and strategic objectives for the country.
They will fully support and promote the brand, reputation, and vision of GroupM internally and in the wider market with clients and media owners.
The Managing Director will fully support and leverage GroupM's delivery of Talent services, Digital Services, Trading deals, Data & Technology and the Finance operation.
