The opportunity :
Our business advisors in Private Enterprise help privately owned businesses reach their goals. Our clients range from subsidiaries of international companies to privately owned New Zealand businesses.
From family trusts and high net worth individuals, Government and local government entities, to retail / manufacturers / import distributors and personal investment portfolios.
These roles will focus on supporting the business strategy and performance improvement services we deliver to private businesses.
We are a small team of dedicated specialists working with businesses making their most important decisions.
We operate a diverse, fun and varied working environment where lateral thinking, sharp commercial acumen, and confidence working with ambiguity in a fast paced manner will stand you in good stead.
No 2 days are the same!
Day to day you will :
Work largely with clients in the $5-20million turnover range (sometimes up to $100mill plus) across a range of sectors
Carry out research and data collection to understand our clients and their industries;
Interview and gather insights from client's employees, management team, customers, and other stakeholders;
Help facilitate workshops with clients;
Conduct analysis to identify issues, form hypotheses and suggest solutions;
Prepare insightful presentations to communicate findings to clients and motivate change;
Provide administrative and project management support for the team.
Leverage business network to develop opportunities for new engagements
What you'll bring to our team :
Relevant tertiary qualification
Ideally 3+ years’ relevant work experience
Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, well-structured presentation writing skills, interpersonal skills and organisational skills.
Knowledge of and experience applying strategic planning and structured thinking conceptual models
Understanding and experience in any of the following will be advantageous : Strategy, Finance, Accounting, Design Thinking, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Process Improvement, Project Management, Management Consulting.
Medium to advanced Excel financial modelling and / or quantitative analysis skills
Demonstrated commercial acumen
Advanced PowerPoint skills
