Our Infrastructure Advisory team works alongside New Zealand’s #1 ranked Corporate Finance team (by number of transactions completed for every year since 2005), with a focus on transaction and strategic advice to Infrastructure clients or investors.
We partner with some of New Zealand's largest businesses on strategic, economic, financial, and long-term, large-scale infrastructure projects where we are dedicated to delivering communities that are fit for the future.
Our work provides strategic and lead advisory services (including M&A) in relation to our clients’ major investments.
With the wider PwC firm we can offer a seamless delivery across transactions, tax and other professional services, and our well known brand offers additional credibility to our clients in the eyes of prospective counter-parties.
Your role and responsibilities will include :
You will be a senior member of the team, leading teams to support client initiatives and projects and playing an important and active role both internally within the market
Taking ownership of the M&A, capital raising or project development process and overall execution and / or deliver high quality strategic and financial advisory solutions to clients
Taking responsibility for the coaching and development of staff across the Infrastructure team
Playing a strategic role in helping our team achieve its growth objectives
Developing knowledge through appropriate research, keeping current with firm’s technical and industry guidance, training and interactions with internal PwC specialists
Providing industry clients and government with expert advisory services and navigate all stages of the infrastructure lifecycle, from strategy and business case development through to transaction advice
Building relationships and your brand in the market, as well as finding new business opportunities and supporting the development and delivery of client proposals and pitches
Delivering high quality written and presentation materials to clients
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
At least 6-7+ years (Associate Director) or 10+ years (Director) of experience in a corporate finance or infrastructure advisory position in a leadership capacity providing strategic and commercial advice to clients
Have experience with major infrastructure projects in a senior advisory or delivery role. This can be in a Government / public sector, Big 4, investment banking, or construction sector environment
A tertiary qualification in finance or in another discipline along with the CFA designation
Demonstrated ability to work through complex situations and solve important problems
A team focused style with proven experience in mentoring and inspiring team members
Have an ability to work independently while also running a team
A self-motivated, proactive and confident approach to your work
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication
