Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga - Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is the Government's lead advisor on housing and urban development.

HUD delivers the Government's programme to address homelessness, increase public and private housing supply, make existing homes warmer and healthier, make housing affordable for people to rent and buy, and lead quality urban development strategies to create thriving communities.

About the role

This is a twelve month fixed-term opportunity. We're looking for a Senior Project Coordinator to support the Project Manager to set a project controlled environment in an IT Programme of work, as we establish our HUD systems to support contract and data management.

Working in a hybrid agile / waterfall environment, in this role you'll help shape and drive the project, working collaboratively with other Government Agencies, you'll manage workflow reporting to ensure that the correct frameworks and processes are in place to support best practice methodologies.

We are seeking a Senior Project Coordinator who can establish themselves as a trusted team member and hit the ground running with experience in project coordination and workflow management, you will have strong attention to detail, be well organized, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

You will enjoy and be confident sharing your knowledge of tools and thinking that will add to the capability of the wider team, and you will have the ability to understand the broader strategic direction and context of the work environment.

Your background will include :

  • Coordinating the reporting and monitoring of the project
  • Facilitating processes to manage multiple workflows of information and activities
  • Monitoring workflow progress against plans and identifying potential risks to delivery
  • Analysis and interpretation of data and information
  • Working across HUD to meet project reporting commitments
  • Liaising with external stakeholders for updates and information and consolidating this into initiatives
  • Experience in project coordination / administration (supporting / coordinating events, meeting minutes, diary management, etc.)
  • Managing and promoting effective working relationships and project / programme management capability across the team and the wider group.
