  • The Digital Solutions team has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst with excellent analytical and problem solving skills to help shape the face of the future of healthcare in our region!

    About the opportunity

    We are looking for an adaptable, passionate Business Analyst to support the Digital team with business analysis services on a 3-year fixed term basis.

    You will be working and liaising with key members of our organisation to provide analytical insights into the business. Focusing on the Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) for the New Dunedin Hospital, you will be a liaison across Southern DHB, external providers and other agencies where necessary.

    Some key areas of focus for this role include (but are not limited to) :

  • Work with the FFE team to identify items with digital components (e.g., biomedical devices)
  • Input into FFE specifications to define digital requirements
  • Work with the broader digital team in the selection of FFE ensuring they comply with SDHB digital architecture and standards
  • Work with the broader digital team to ensure that requirements are successfully gathered, to enable the completion of detailed technical designs (infrastructure and solutions) that will outline how the FFE will be integrated into the SDHB digital environment
  • Work with the digital team to ensure that testing covers all of the new functionality to enable a successful implementation of all FFE digital components
  • About you

  • You'll be someone who brings exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to juggle a number of projects. Along with holding a relevant tertiary qualification;
  • you have at least three years’ experience as a Business Analyst with a technical delivery focus.

  • the ability to develop relationships with a broad range of people, from management to clinical staff
  • strong analytical skills, with previous experience of turning these analytics into relevant and focussed management information
  • a strong customer focus
  • the experience to think 'outside the square' to continually seek efficiencies within the organisation
