Join our Canterbury Health Laboratory Department (CHL) in this newly created role, where you will be a crucial leader in driving the way we deliver care and services.

Mō te tūnga About the role

In this role, you will be involved in developing strong and long-term relationships with key stakeholders in various communities to ensure equitable access for Māori, Pasifika and other underrepresented groups that access CHL services.

Pehea About you

We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging and building relationships with people. While being able to effectively translate concepts into a tangible manner for scientific, clinical and non-clinical professionals.

To be successful you will be relatable, adaptable and work well with a very broad range of people and communities. This role would suit someone who enjoys looking at problems from a different lens or perspective.

This role requires the following :

  • Knowledge or experience of tikanga Māori, translating the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi into practice
  • Preference for medical science or health background with knowledge of laboratory services
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
