We are looking for an experienced, customer-centric and commercially focused Category Manager / Buyer (Buying Technology Chapter Member) to oversee, develop and drive significant categories for the business as we continue to strengthen our Technology offerings and position as New Zealand’s largest technology retailer.
Our Buying Technology chapter members work across the mix of technology and appliances categories - part of the wider Merchandise team, you will work cross-functionally across our wider business and teams and be responsible for driving profitable sales and margin through developing a strong merchandise strategy, effective negotiations with suppliers, planning market-leading promotional campaigns, assortment planning and with the review of existing and new products and services.
Key responsibilities :
You’re as curious and passionate about our customers and retail as much as we are! As an experienced and highly effective customer-focused Buyer / Category Manager, you’ll easily be able to point to retail category performance and successes, within the consumer electronics / technology space.
The complexity of working across out multiple retail brands would be equal parts challenging and exciting!
Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills will be essentials to unlock collaboration, productivity and speed to market! With strong negotiation skills, you drive towards commercially profitable outcomes and maximise opportunities for the business.
