About the Role :

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior BI developer to join our team in Auckland. You will design, develop, test and support data warehouse and BI solutions and be responsible for delivering on the following key accountabilities :

  • Actively participate in analysis, implementation, and development of business reporting tools
  • Provide technical oversight and tactical advice to internal teams and third-party providers regarding data models, integration, and data governance
  • Facilitate the efficient use of the Canon data and reports for decision making and performance analytics, including assisting business to use the tools provided and to get access to information for decision making
  • Support testing and analysis of BI & Reporting related software issues and work with the vendors to resolve any product issues
  • About You

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse.
  • Established technical experience in data warehouse design and data modelling
  • Advanced level on MS BI platform (SQL Server, MDS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
  • Strong T-SQL skills and experience in programming languages e.g. C#, VB
  • Extensive experience in ETL process
  • Extensive Power BI report development experience using DAX
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills (e.g. performance tuning) and ability to challenge existing processes and procedures
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders within IT and across the business
