A fixed term opportunity has arisen for a Primary Care Clinical Leader to join the Northern Region COVID-19 response within the Northern Region Health Coordination Centre (NRHCC).

This is a great opportunity to be involved with making a difference to our community.

The Clinical Lead role is responsible is responsible for providing primary care clinical leadership and expertise and will work across the Operations and Clinical Governance to ensures a primary care view is represented as part of decision making.

The Clinical Lead is responsible for maintaining relationships with our primary care sector colleagues and ensuring relevant information and changes are communicated to the sector.

The Primary Care function within the NRHCC is responsible for co-ordinating primary care related activity across NRHCC services, which include Testing, Vaccination and Whanau HQ.

The function also works with general practices, urgent care providers, PHOs, DHBs, the NRHCC and other government agencies.

Our ideal candidate would be a very capable individual who works well in a fast-paced environment with a proven record of demonstrating success in a clinical leadership role within primary care.

The successful candidate will have :

Current experience as a practicing vocational General Practitioner, Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Senior Primary Care Nurse or Primary Care Nurse Leader.

Experience in quickly building relationships with key stakeholders, particularly with primary care leaders.

Experience in facilitating collaborative and pragmatic problem-solving of day-to-day primary care clinical issues.

Is able to problem solve to understand, develop strategies, and resolve any problems / issues with associated parties.

Demonstrate an understanding of health equity and what working to achieve health equity means in practice.

Ability to work under pressure, manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This is a part time role based in Auckland CBD through to December 2022. The FTE and days of work are flexible for the right candidate and will also consider a secondment internal or external to the DHBs.
