Registered Nurse Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation

  • About the opportunity

    Working in a dynamic and evolving interdisciplinary team within the services covering Older People’s Health Rehabilitation Services based at Dunedin Hospital.

    You'll work alongside other senior nurses, and wider team members in planning and providing rehabilitation to our patients.

    This is an opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation with medical, orthopaedic and neurological conditions including stroke.

    You will also have the opportunity to support, teach and upskill students and rotational staff.

    About you

    Ideally, you will bring to us a minimum of 2 years' nursing experience that includes working with stroke, orthopaedic, frail elderly and other neurological conditions.

    You would be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of optimising patient outcomes and facilitating effective rehabilitation using a patient centred and evidence based approach to goal setting and intervention.

    You will also need to be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate.

    In addition to the experience you bring us, you will have enthusiasm and a willingness to commit to our team and patients.

    You will be expected to be active in service quality initiatives, therefore be proactive, innovative and have a quality driven leadership approach.
