About the team and the role

This role is based in Wellington, and the successful candidate will report to Mei Fern Johnson, a senior partner and market leader in the Corporate and Commercial fields.

The team acts for significant entities across the public and private sector.In this role, you would be involved in general corporate and commercial advisory work, bespoke contract drafting, commercial structuring and M&A across a range of sectors, including technology, energy, infrastructure and health, to name a few.

About you

We are looking for someone with :

2 - 4 years corporate and / or commercial legal experience (in-house or private practice)

Experience in contract drafting and negotiation this is highly desirable, as it will be a core component of the role

Public sector experience, including experience in public sector procurement (desirable, but not crucial)

Great attention to detail and problem solving skills

Excellent communication and client relationship management skills

A solid academic record

Above all, a willingness to learn, develop, and keep challenging themselves
