Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

As a Cloud Engineer, your primary focus will to be developing Infrastructure as code that allows Contact to reap the benefits of Automation and to support operation of our complex services.

This is cool, but what is even better you get an opportunity to mentor and inspire those around you! Here’s another two key important tasks;

Develop Infrastructure as code solutions which implement the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems and data using cloud and infrastructure technologies to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets.

This includes the activity involved with developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing cloud and infrastructure.

Support the operation of our cloud platforms, troubleshooting technology hosting problems with ownership of problem through final resolution.

You’ll have plenty of stories to share of proven experience from the AWS world whilst building strong reputation with stakeholders as a leader for solving difficult cloud engineering problems to maximise value and time-to-delivery.

You’re passions will be all about providing scalable, available systems for the business that perform in line with business expectations.

Here’s some other things about you;

Curious about new technology

Multiple years of commercial experience building and operating complex systems on the AWS Platform

Ideally Familiar with Python, PowerShell & NodeJS, and unafraid of adopting new languages and technology as they emerge

Understanding of Continuous Integration and best practice application in Infrastructure as code
