    As Fidelity life evolves, our strategy is to promote scalability, functionality, and user experience. To do this, we are seeking a Systems Engineer - Cloud.

    As a Systems Engineer - Cloud , you’ll be an integral part of our team to support the transition away from our existing solutions and increase our cloud footprint.

    This is a full time, permanent position based in Auckland, and we offer a fully flexible working approach.

    The primary purpose of this role is to provide support to the Technology Operations team. Primary accountabilities will be supporting, maintaining service support operations with a heavy focus on a Cloud First model.

    Identifying, prioritising, and resolving service support related issues that impact the business operations.

    Day to day tasks will involve :

  • Planning and leading the gathering and documentation of business requirements and undertaking options and scenario analysis of the impact of design decisions
  • Taking ownership of allocated work items or tickets in the Technology Operations group
  • Resolving incidents and problems associated with Technology Operations domain and provide break / fix support, advice, and assistance to staff.
  • Undertake routine preventative measures, maintenance and proactive monitoring of the network and compute environments
  • Establish and create training and handover material to enable effective adoption of change to current processes into our suppliers.
  • Continually driving improvements & efficiencies from managed service providers
  • Be the conduit between technology, vendors and Fidelity Life business stakeholders
  • Ensure clear, timely and accurate communication to the business as requested
  • Adhere to ITSM processes ensuring high levels of performance, compliance and accurate reporting, with alignment to SLA
  • Work with internal IT teams and vendors to resolve open issues and restoring impacted services
  • Ensure conformance to underpinning MSA or SOW with vendors as required
  • Support Project, CAB, Release and Transition activities, including major deployments
  • Assisting with Audit preparation, AD and system hygiene and compliance
  • Maintain IT departments Licensing, Software and Hardware assets

    With your proven track record in cloud solutions, you are a keen problem solver with strong analytical and reasoning ability.

    You’ll thrive off collaborating with stakeholders, build strong relationships and have excellent communication skills. Having the ability to work autonomously, delivering to timelines and being a team player will ensure your success.

    Together with this you hold the following skills and experience :

  • Relevant ITIL process framework qualification and relevant Microsoft and Network certifications
  • 3 years’ experience in a technical engineering support role, where you have managed cloud and traditional infrastructure platforms.
  • Understanding and experience in Cloud IaaS, SaaS & PaaS technologies
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, providers, and cloud data technologies
  • Strong understanding of workplace and infrastructure technologies
  • Experience in an enterprise environment and in managing process interlocks with multiple IT vendors.
