Job Description

Fulton Hogan is proud to be working with our Alliance partners, Waka Kotahi, HEB, Jacobs, and WSP delivering the Northern Corridor Improvements (NCI) project.

NCI will provide better links for Northern Motorway (SH1) travellers in Auckland, improving transport options on the North Shore for freight, cars, pedestrians and cyclists.

The opportunity

We have a great opportunity for a Site Engineer to demonstrate your knowledge and experience gained to-date ensuring our construction works programme is completed cost effectively and on time.

Working alongside the best in the business, your involvement on this large-scale civil infrastructure project will provide you the opportunity to build your technical knowledge and advance your career.

What you will be doing :

  • Plan and execute work safely in accordance with work method statements.
  • Prepare quality control documentation to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications
  • Ensure that Environmental risks are identified and follow documented processes.
  • Perform audits and checks for site compliance with Safety, Environmental & Quality management plans.
  • Conduct field investigations in accordance with specifications, collate field records and input data for accurate tracking and planning.
  • Report incidents, non-conformances and near misses
  • Maximise efficiencies of plant and resource use through good day-to-day planning.
  • Identify health and safety risks associated with works, take corrective actions to eliminate / reduce
  • Positively promote and incorporate Health, Safety and wellbeing on all aspects of work
  • Lead tool box talks
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • What we need from you

  • Tertiary qualified Civil Engineer with at least 2 years + post-graduate experience
  • On-site project experience with sound knowledge of bulk earthworks (preferred)
  • Strong communicator, builds and maintains enduring relationships and has a continuous improvement attitude.
  • Strong self-management
  • Ability to mediate to resolve issues swiftly and calmly
  • Class 1 licence
