This role will work closely with members of our Risk Consulting team - who supply advisory and consulting services across New Zealand.

The opportunity :
Working alongside key government agencies in Wellington, our Risk consulting team is seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Associate Director , where you'll get a birds eye view of some of the key issues facing our clients in the 'new normal'.
You’ll collaborate with professionals from across the wider Consulting team, gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm, whilst working in a fast paced and energetic environment.
Day to day you will :
Provide critical, independent, clear and practical advice to determine the right processes and internal controls in order to improve and optimise our clients business processes
Partner with clients to increase their risk capabilities including facilitating workshops to understand the client's business and its key risks and technology requirements
Provide practical recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their business processes, systems and organisation
Use data to analyse trends, patterns and identify risks in processes
Participate in the career and performance development of junior team members by supervising their work, providing them with timely and specific performance feedback
Play a role in the development of business for the team, including : identifying opportunities and pursuing them, developing thought leadership, leading client proposals and developing team capabilities
Build the reputation of KPMG through the quality of your work, expertise and judgement as well as innovative approaches
What you'll bring to our team :
Relevant qualifications with approximately 5+ years of relevant business experience gained in professional services, banking / financial services, government or the wider public sector
The ability to lead C-Suite and executive level risk workshops
Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to successfully engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and an ability to bring people together, develop meaningful relationships, integrate services and work collaboratively with a team of experts across the wider consulting teams.
Oral and written communication is a key strength along with planning, project management, relationship building, networking and influencing skills;
A positive and flexible attitude and an enthusiasm to embrace new challenges and growth opportunities to gain experience.
