The System Wide Operations Centre (SWOC) enables an integrated, patient centric and equitable health response to daily demands within parts of, or across, the health system.
Amongst other functions SWOC has a staffing function that supports critical staffing requirements across Canterbury DHB and West Coast CDHB.
We aim to maintain a Covid resilient workforce through targeting any critical staffing shortfalls across the whole healthcare sector.
Any areas identified as in crucial need, we endeavour to support with essential staffing to enable key healthcare activities to continue to improve, promote and protect the health of the people in the community.
The ClinicalVolunteer Coordinator is responsible for supporting current and onboardingnew volunteers in the clinical in-patient environment with the goal ofextending the role of volunteering in the hospital environment to supportclinicians, staff and the burden on the hospital system at present.

You will be a key contact between SWOC and the hospital volunteering teams so will need strong communication skills, along with the ability to engage with our external stakeholders.
You will have strong coordination skills to ensure requests are attended to in a timely matter.
