    We are looking for a self-starter who is already strong in accounting and tax who is looking to grow their skills within outsourced finance roles and / or strategy advisory work.

    What might your typical day look like? While a typical day is difficult to articulate, below are some key aspects of the role :

  • Adopting different methods to collect and analyse data from various sources with the purpose of deriving actionable insights to form recommendations that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Drafting and preparing a range of client deliverables such as financial statement and tax returns and being part of a client service team.
  • Being part of our virtual CFO services team delivering to a broad range of clients across both private and public sector.
  • Sharing knowledge and experiences to develop yourself, peers and junior team members.
  • Creating opportunities to build relationships and increase your own eminence across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Being a part of the culture, becoming a role model for our people and clients, as well as recognising others for the impact they make by their valued contributions.
  • Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with :

  • Sound accounting and advisory skills developed through 1-2 years’ New Zealand work experience in a corporate environment
  • Recently completed or actively working towards your CA qualification (we can support you on your journey!).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to quickly build rapport and engagement with clients to understand their needs and grow your trusted advisor status.
  • Good problem-solving skills, uses initiative and has an eye for detail - able to report on findings, draw insights and help develop tangible solutions.
  • Experience in (or interest to develop) : facilitation, business and report writing, PowerPoint and in person presentation skills.
  • Working experience in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with NZ IFRS as well as IRD Standards.
  • Strong technology skills in Xero, including knowledge of operating and / or implementing add- ons. PowerBI would also be beneficial.
  • A drive for excellence and a can-do attitude.
  • A team player that values input and support from team but can also work autonomously.
