Our client is a Wellington Government agency that works cooperatively with city and regional councils to ensure the needs of the people and the environment are met and communicated.
This is a fixed term contract role until the end of December 2018. With loads of scope for creativity and engagement, the purpose of this role is to support the Media Team and Contact Centre in responding and monitoring social media and emails (across all channels owned and not owned).
You will be an excellent communicator and be able to effectively communicate with a range a departments, stakeholders, brands and sub-
brands to proactively respond to social media and customer email queries. This will include the monitoring of all social media activity across various channels, monitoring external channels for published comments, proactively build relationships with internal departments.
You will provide insightful and strategic advice on social media responses and identifies potential risks, responds to all social communications in a timely manner and use initiative to understand and capture communication priorities and content opportunities for the organisation.
You will be an experienced and forward-thinking Social Media Manager, who can use initiative and be proactive with the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
A significant part of this role is the ability to foresee potential conflicts and see opportunities to communicate key ideas and messages.
This is a fast-paced, challenging role within a large Government organisation. You will be confident in your ability to create compelling, informative content and be able to proactively engage with a variety of stakeholders.
