  • About the role Mō te tūnga

    As a Capability Coach you will coach and develop team members who are responsible for responding to requests for personal information in compliance with the Privacy Act of 1993 and Official Information Act of 1982.

    In the role you will be coaching team members on the legislation and relevant acts as needed. You will be acting as a trusted advisor by providing targeted one-on-one coaching to support with specific issues.

    You will identify learning gaps using quantitative and qualitative data and evidence.

    We are looking for dedicated people who understand our vision to come join our growing Customer Information Requests team in Palmerston North, NZ.

    This role is a fixed-term contract, full-time. We offer a supportive culture and value work life balance so flexible work options are available within our hours of 7 : 30am-5 : 30pm.

    If you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with a warm manner and a passion to bring the best out of people, we want to speak with you!

    Ideally you will bring :

  • A sound understanding of Oranga Tamariki's customer needs and priorities as well as the Privacy Act and Official Information Act (or the ability to read and apply legislation)
  • Experience developing customer focused teams and the ability to build trusting relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • You will be a relationship-builder able to identify capability gaps, offer feedback and have experience identifying and mitigating risk
  • Previous experience in human resources would be very helpful!
