    We are looking for a Business Development Manager to work alongside our North and West Auckland Commercial teams.

    What you will do

    As a Business Development Manager you will work in partnership with our Commercial Banking Teams and client segments to drive the acquisition and growth of high value transaction banking clients.

    You will work as part of a successful team to develop our transaction banking offerings; partnering with our Commercial Managers to identify and secure new transaction banking opportunities with current and potential high value customers.

    You will proactively network across the Bank as well as externally to build both yours' and ASB's profile as a knowledgeable expert within transaction banking.

    You will play a key part in developing strategies and responding to RFP's and will work closely with product and commercial partners to tailor transaction banking offerings specific to a clients' need.

    What we are looking for

    To be successful in this role, your in-depth knowledge of transaction banking will enable you to identify opportunities through your own networks and channels.

  • You will be required to lead our Commercial Banking teams through the highly complex transactional sales and bid process;
  • achieving sustainable and profitable growth of our customer base.

    To be considered, you will need to have demonstrated experience in a business development or sales role with a proven track record in building and maintaining client relationships.

    The ability to manage the sales process with a key focus on growth and being able to formulate and sell transaction banking solutions utilising a diverse product set will underpin your on-going success.
