    This organisation is one of NZ’s largest & most recognisable retail brands. They’re extremely well established, performing better than expected (despite the obvious challenges) & currently have more than 30 retail stores across the whole country.

    The Role

    After a re-shuffle of the finance team, this is a newly created role reporting directly into the Head of Finance who has a wealth of knowledge about the business & the industry, working as part of a medium-sized finance team.

    In this role you will manage & own the financial reporting processed & delivery for the whole business, as well as being in a position where you will play a key role in all continuous improvement projects across the finance function to drive financial excellence across the whole business.

  • Your key tasks will include;
  • Overall responsibility for the delivery of accurate & timely financial reporting
  • Lead all analysis & commentary to the business of financial reporting & financial performance
  • Assist the HoF with regular forecasting & budgeting processes
  • Contribute to the strategic planning & development of the business
  • Management of the annual audit process
  • Play a key role in all continuous improvement projects, relating to finance
  • Support the HoF with any ad-hoc tasks, requests from the business & project work
  • To be considered for this position you must be a fully qualified accountant who enjoys the technical reporting side of accounting.

    Ideally, you will be a big 4 or mid-tier trained accountant who has since gained industry experience in a similar position working within large, complex organisations.

    Along with being able to execute your routine tasks, you must be someone who has a keen eye for continuous improvement projects & someone who has the passion to roll out financial excellence across a business.
