Registered Mental Health Clinician Adult Community Mental Health & Addictions
Perinatal Mental Health Team, Rotorua
Permanent, part time
An opportunity has arisen in Lakes DHB for a Registered Nurse or other health professional with mental health experience to become part of the Perinatal Mental Health Team based in Rotorua.
As this is a part-time role, it may be well suited for someone interested in a joint role with adult mental health & addiction services.
This is an exciting position, particularly given current service development initiatives related to the community-facing, inter-sectorial model of care, Te Ara Tauwhirotanga : Pathways that lead us to act with kindness.
Te Ara Tauwhirotanga acknowledges that health, wellbeing and opportunities for healing and recovery are a basic human right and that this can only occur when local, regional and national systems work well together.
The model is the product of an extensive co-design process, aligns to He Ara Oranga and is designed around three central Pou (pillars) of Tikanga (Values), Tangata (People) and Taiao (Environment).
This is a great opportunity to develop a specialist skill base in perinatal clinical assessment and intervention. The successful applicant will be competent in all facets of care and multi-disciplinary team working.
It is also expected that you would have excellent interpersonal skills and have a strong client focus, cultural competence and a flexible approach.
You will have proven ability to liaise with partner organisations and skilled at providing evidenced-based information and advice.
You must be a New Zealand Registered Mental Health Clinician (RN / OT / SW) and have a current APC with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in a mental health setting.
We want to hear from you now.
A requirement of employment with Lakes DHB is a satisfactory Worker Safety Check including a criminal conviction history check in line with the Criminal Records Clean Slate Act 2004.
